Building Communities: Fair Decisions Together
How do groups decide, share, and repair? Students launch the year by building Volo's own working agreements — drafting, debating, ratifying, and living with real rules for shared spaces, tools, and the van. Along the way they explore how communities large and small make fair decisions, keep promises, resolve disputes, and divide work. Possible directions include class meetings and student-run duties, games of cooperation and negotiation, and historical examples of communities writing their own rules.
